History of The Vine

The Vine Community Church was established in November of 2002 by 13 families who had the desire to celebrate life in Christ together, and to spread the good news to the community around us. We first met for worship at the Hilton hotel on Edwards Road, in Greenville, and during the first year and half we rented space in a dental office off Pleasentburg Drive in Greenville.  We have also met in a church building on East North Street as well as the former High School in Greer. We finally settled in Taylors, SC in a former day-care facility on Wade Hampton Blvd., after an extensive remodeling effort, which was completed in June of 2003. The church has grown steadily since then, and today we have out-grown our worship space with more than 200 in attendance each week. Plans are under way to expand our building to make room for more than 500 seats in the Sanctuary as well as an improved and expanded Fellowship Hall with greater Family Ministry facilities.
