Sunday Service
The order of our worship service does change occasionally, but the essential elements remain the same. We are committed to preaching the good news of life and peace in Jesus Christ, as well as celebrating God with worship that fills our minds and hearts with the riches of His love.
The dress is casual, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The Services usually open with a scripture reading, then there is a time of prayer, including prayer for the needs of the community.
Our times of worship and praise are lead by The Vine Praise Team consisting of vocalists as well as musicians on keyboard, bass, acoustic and electric guitars, and acoustic drums. The worship music typically includes songs in English and Spanish, in a unique combination, lead by talented bilingual vocalists. The services are translated into Spanish, as well.
After the worship, the children come forward to hear a short message given by Pastor Tomas, specifically for them. Then the children are brought to Kid’s Church to enjoy their own church service.
Pastor Tomas’ Sermons are sometimes in a series on a given topic, and sometimes on a specific passage in the Bible, but they are always filled with conviction and to the point. Parishioners note that he speaks directly from the Bible.
The Lord’s Supper, or Communion is celebrated every other Sunday as a reminder of what Christ has done for us.
There is a closing time of praise music, and Pastor Tomas greets everyone he can at the door.
Once a month, the church serves a community meal to encourage fellowship, and every Sunday, before and after the service, coffee and treats are served, free of charge in The Coffee Bean.
