Kid's Church
The goal of the Kid’s Church Ministry at The Vine is to provide a consistent, nurturing environment for children to learn the Bible, to hear the gospel message, and to understand the importance of church in their lives. The activities that take place during the service include prayer, praise time, a bible message, puppet show, a missionary story, and learning a bible memory verse. We use a chart in order to reward children for their attendance, bringing a bible, memorizing a bible verse, behaving well throughout the service, and for bringing a friend. The rules of kid’s church are to respect one another, and the teachers, to listen, participate, be nice, and not to bring toys or candy to kid’s church. Deby Aho, Ashlan Niemitalo, Rusty, and Ingrid Kinnunen lead Kid’s Church together each week. They strive to make it a fun time, but also to provide the children with the knowledge of the basics of Christianity. It is always exciting to watch the children arrive at church proudly carrying their bibles, to see the joy on their faces as they sing praise songs to God, to hear them recite bible verses, and to read to them, sometimes for the first time, stories from the bible that captivate their attention.
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
Mark 10:14
